Exploring
There are many options available to explore the local area: short walks in the neighbouring villages, day treks to heritage sites and places of interest nearby. Some of our guests explore the area with motorbikes hired in Kathmandu, also used as a means to get here.
We have knowledgeable local guides available, who can tailor trips according to your interests, level of fitness and length of stay.


Some nearby walking destinations

NAMO BUDDHA
One of the most sacred buddhist sites in Nepal, with it's Stupa and the Tiger’s Den, Namo Buddha is a 30 minute scenic walk through the pine forest from the resort.

THRANGU TASHI YANGTZE
At the Namo Buddha site is also Thrangu Tashi Yangtze Monastery. You can attend an early morning or afternoon puja (ritual) or just explore the grounds in your own time.

PANAUTI
A famous heritage site - one of the oldest traditional Newari towns in Nepal - is a 3 to 5 hour walk from our resort. There is also a bus route available.

DAPCHA TOWN
An old local trade route settlement of Newari people with a small hilltop temple.

WALK TO BALTHALI
A longer but popular trek on a scenic path to this typical village with terraced farmland and lush forest.

PHULBARI
The local village nearby where you can observe daily rural life in Nepal.
